Today’s sketchbook journals: I enjoy sketching colorful product packages; 😄the new design of Canadian ten dollar bill is a vertical one (is this the first vertical money in the world?)🙄 And an apple. #caobeckysketch
Who’s your favorite?(Nev, Cloud Boy, Aero)
I expanded on an illustration I started in class with intentions of making it a sticker! I just love drawing my characters! Almost done with midterms so I can get to commissions during spring break in a couple days!
• Oh, You Know Her •
My rendition of the super talented, and drop dead gorgeous Debbie Harry.
I grew up idolizing her mixture of punk & sensual aesthetics.
She was punk in a little white dress, and that really changed the game for me.
It was refreshing to see someone be all sorts of sounds and styles. To have so much freedom, and truly enjoy what they did.
I’m grateful for her outspoken personality and sexual freedom.
For her songs, and the impact they created in my life
Just outside Paris is the beautiful royal town of St-Germaine-en-Laye. This is the Église catholique St-Germaine across the road from the royal palace when the king wanted to escape Paris before Versailles was built. A Parisian tipped us off it was worth a visit. Local knowledge is always invaluable.
I've finally started rendering Saaya in this piece. Similar to Tomoe, I wanted to show what I'm aiming to get by comparing the flats and the mostly rendered version of her hair. Definitely liking how it's turning out so far!
