Today Travis and I said, “let’s relax and just watch some basketball today and take it easy.” (Both our bodies need some rest and rejuvenation, but when he actually says he does that means he is at his limits) and Brecken has a cold so thought it would be best to just do devotions today at the house so we don’t get the Sunday school kiddos sick too.
So that was our goal. It is now 6pm and we have cleaned the kitchen 2 times, completely organized and cleaned the workout room, cleaned the entire basement, cleaned and organized the toy/living room, vacuumed the entire main level, grilled chicken for sandwiches today and for prep tomorrow, picked out and made these yummy peanut butter cupcakes (that fit right into our nutrition plan! No deprivation here!) and now Travis is at the Y to take them swimming quick while I get some work done. ....I didn’t even list everything lol!
....it was a good attempt. We have the inability to sit still. Unless we are on date night or vacation (FYI to all parents, vacations with kids are not vacations at all...they are family trips. Now when you and your hubby go somewhere...that is a vacation😉) And it still felt like we didnt do much. ...this is now instilled in us. Working hard and reaching goals may not be easy, but that is what creates a positive change in your life. Do it for 21 days and you will create a new habit! Don’t just sit there and let your life go by. It goes way too fast to not make the most of it❤️
